MOVIE
REVIEW: The Kings Speech
The
Kings Speech was directed by Tom Hooper and written by David Seidler. The
studios that produced it were UK Film Council, See-Saw Films, and Bedlam
Productions. The main actors in this film are Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.
This
film is about King George VI(Colin Firth) and his ascension to the throne of
England. It also tells of his trouble with public speaking and his stuttering
problem. Because of this problem he seeks out the speech therapist Lionel
Logue(Geoffrey Rush).
I
think in this movie they really captured the real thoughts and feelings of the
real people the movie is based on. The way that king George VI’s father treated
him in regard to his stuttering was very accurate. He was disgusted and
embarrassed. Also The way his brother felt about his consort and his
abdication.
I
would definitely recommend this movie to almost everyone. It’s a have to see
for history buffs but also just a good story for the average guy. This movie is
inspiring and a true testament to King George VI’s struggles and
accomplishments.
